Let's start at the very beginning......

Updated: Feb 6, 2020

Let's start at the very beginning. A very good place to start ….another one of my favourite singers Julie Andrews, such a beautiful lady, and a beautiful voice...

I will start at the very beginning and tell you how the album 'Always In My Heart' came about. In 2004 I met producer/songwriter Spencer Jaye and we both instantly wanted to work together. We both had the same passion for country music and were both big fans of pop/rock music. Spencer invited me to make a demo CD at his recording studio and after hearing it, we spent every available minute writing and recording my first album 'Always In My Heart'. It was a dream come true, I had spent hours, upon hours listening to the radio as a little girl. All I'd ever wanted to do was make a record and here I was with it in my hand; it was an amazing moment in my life. This is something I would like to share with you in my music, that amazing feeling when you start the journey you had always dreamed about as a child.

After releasing the album, the following year radio stations around the world began playing my music and I even won a few awards. It was amazing but real success doesn't come overnight, it's always as a result of hard work and never giving up. One of the highlights of my career was when Spencer and I were in Nashville promoting this album and I was invited to play at the legendary Bluebird Café'. I was incredibly nervous, I sat on the stage, the lights went down, you could have heard a pin drop as the audience listened to every word and note so intently as I sang. It's something I will never forget. Whilst I was visiting Nashville I spent time doing the tourist trail - visiting The Grand Ole Opry and even made a trip to Dollywood which was just about the most amazing place I'd ever been in my life. I bumped into Dolly Parton's Uncle Bill Owen who told me that I reminded him of Dolly in many ways. For me, being a Dolly Parton fan that was an amazing compliment, Uncle Bill Owen even took a copy of the album and said he would pass it onto Dolly.

Please consider picking up a copy of my music - it really helps me to create even more music :)

If you purchase an album directly from me - whether digital or physical - you can rest assured that you've just done a very good thing in supporting independent music!

Thank you for reading, and for being a part of this journey with me. It's because of your support that I am able to continue to do the thing I love most. Thank You.

Until next time,

Debbie Nunn. x
